Crystal Blue Persuasion
Staunton's Crystal Ballroom packs 'em in

For serious or novice dancers and rock 'n' roll fans, there is nothing
better than a spacious dance floor, a great stage, and Sh-Boom. The Crystal
Ballroom offers all three in one venue just 40 minutes from the Arch.

Located in Staunton, Illinois, the ballroom is constructed with a
dome-shaped ceiling and the room's crowning glory--a 200-pound crystal
chandelier hanging from its center. Imported from Italy, the 2,200- piece
chandelier shimmers over one of the largest dance floors in the metro area.
The wood dance floor holds up to 700 dancers at a time with multi-level
seating for 1,000.

Sh-Boom's next show at the Crystal Ballroom is Saturday, November 11th at
8:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the local hospital in Staunton. To get there
from St. Louis take I-55 north to Exit #41 and turn left one mile to the
ballroom. Food is available and the facility is accessible for the disabled.
Call (618)635-2200 for tickets.

SH-BITS AND SH-BLUNDERS
Sh-Boom Gossip and Gab

IT'S A GIRL! 5 pounds, 10 ounces. Olivia Hope Pilsing was born to Sh-Boom vocalist, Lamar and wife Amy Pilsing on September 20th. Mom is recovering well, but Dad's still a bit queasy. Congratulations to Amy, Lamar, and big sister, Alaina.

Super Bowl MVP, Kurt Warner had a brush with fame as he ran into Sh-Boom
vocalist, Bad Brad at the St. Louis airport over the summer. Unknowingly
they were seated just a few rows away on the same flight. Later they met up
at baggage claim and "reportedly" exchanged autographs. Brad offered Kurt
some tips on handling the Rams offense while Kurt offered Brad some advice
on stocking grocery shelves--in case the band ever breaks up!

Sh-Boom got baseball fever this summer. The group performed the national
anthem at Rascals and Cardinal games. Tommy G's baseball fever apparently
led to delirium. The Sh-Boom guitarist showed up at Fairmount Park rather
than Busch Stadium. It seems he was in search of the big Pennant race he had
heard so much about.

Sh-Boom columnist and musician, Hearthrob Rob got hitched without a hitch.
All went well with Rob and Chris' August 5th ceremony. The couple
honeymooned in Runaway Bay Jamaica, while the rest of the band vacationed in
exotic Missouri.

Drummer, Mike Watermann and family jetted to Orlando where his son,
Brandon's soccer team won the National Championship.  Brandon is a member of
the Under-18 Scott-Gallagher club, and now attends UMKC on a soccer
scholarship.

St. Francis must be the patron saint of loyalty or perseverance. Sh-Boom
recently performed their 18th annual dance at St. Francis of Assisi church
in Oakville. St. Francis was the band's first job booked back in 1983 and
remains the only event revisited each and every year since.
