SH-BITS AND SH-BLUNDERS
Sh-Boom Gossip and Gab

Eighty-six passengers returned safely from Playa del Carmen in May, save a
few minor sh-blunders. Sh-Boom's own sound man, DJ Kent nearly found himself
in that no-man's-land known as Immigration Purgatory when he left his birth
certificate on the plane upon arrival in Mexico. Imagine, if you will,
you're standing in the landing field of a foreign airport. Security guards
won't allow you back on the plane and the authorities won't let you pass
through Immigration. "At the sign post up ahead...You've just entered the
Twilight Zone."

Meanwhile (Meritek Travel Agent) Donna Seymour and Dyno' Dave caught a red
light and were searched in Customs. Both passed by the skin of their
skivies, DJ bribed the officials, and all were en route toward the sprawling
Iberostar Quetzal. The resort was so expansive that Hearthrob Rob was found
on the first afternoon hugging a tree and whistling. Lamar made the
exhaustive trek from beach to bedroom and climbed the steps toward his 4th
floor quarters. He was dumbfounded as to why his room key would not work on
the lock until Nancy Caito (wife of Dyno' Dave) opened the door from the
other side asking why he was fiddling with the lock of her 3rd floor room -
whoops!

Six contestants competed for the title of "Little Surfer Girl 2001" at
Sh-Boom's Tuesday's beach show.  Unfortunately, none of the six were
little....heck, none of the six were even girls! Congrats' to George "Gotta
See 'em to Believe 'em" Mersinger, Surfer Girl 2001. Passenger Jane T. won a
new t-shirt for her seductive dance aboard the party boat. Guitarist
Ben-jamin' was nearly arrested at gunpoint for his 2:00 a.m. ballet aboard
the speaker cabinets in the resorts' disco.

Lest ye should get the wrong impression, all thoroughly enjoyed the week
long excursion to spite these few folderols and the fact that twenty or so
of the group at some point felt the wrath of Montezuma!
