Sh-Boom concluded the 2006 summer concert tour with a return appearance at Eureka Days. Immediately following the performance band members, fans, and friends gathered at my Eureka residence for the annual post show chili dinner and beer blast. All enjoyed good food, fun, libations, and fellowship.
The following evening, Sh-Boom performed for Junior Achievement staff and volunteers at their Chesterfield office complex. At the time it seemed strange, though, with retrospect, I now understand why the crowd seemed quite content to enjoy the show from their seats well across the parking lot from the stage. Sh-Boom was probably more appreciably enjoyed from a distance the night after that big chili and beer blast! And no, that was not a fog machine the band used for visual effect.
Former NFL Defensive End, Pete Lazetich, once sang and played harmonica with Sh-Boom for a private party at a downtown St. Louis hotel. Mr. Lazetich's character receives screen time in the new sports movie, Invincible, which is now playing in theaters. Sh-Boom band members have been speculating as to what movie stars might portray OUR characters in a movie - - Brad Pitt as Bad Brad James perhaps, Johnny Depp as Dyno' Dave Caito, Jerry Mathers as 'Lectric Lamar Pilsing, etc.
Sh-Boom has had the privilege to perform the last several years for the Missouri Funeral Directors annual convention. Skip all the puns and jokes you might expect, "playing for a bunch of stiffs" and so on, can you imagine how disconcerting it is to load musical equipment into a ballroom past displays of caskets, crematoriums, and funeral accessories? Just imagine what types of items are on display at a funeral directors convention!
St. Louis' own, Bob Kuban, was presented a Lifetime Music Achievement Award at a recent Rosary High School class reunion. After the ceremony, Sh-Boom provided entertainment for the RHS graduates. News Anchor, Dan Gray, was on hand for the festivities, as were the Viviano brothers (Tony & Jerry) who joined Sh-Boom on stage to break a world record for the longest ever performance of Runaround Sue.
What is Rob's "real job"? Which celebrities do fans tell Brad he looks like? What is Dave's favorite hobby? Where does Scott like to eat after a band show? Find out this information plus other useless information about the individual band members at on our Profiles Page. Each of the performers are profiled on the band's web site.
Newest band member, Dennis Roussin, just celebrated his 4th anniversary with Sh-Boom. Go to Dennis' Profile Page to read more about this talented drummer and vocalist.
